Set in the heart of this lively village community, Wray Pre-School is a non-profit, community based pre-school, providing a safe and nurturing environment for all children, aged two to five years.

As a rural pre-school we enjoy small groups so if you are looking for a pre-school where your child will be one of a few rather than one of many then we may be just right for you.

Our pre-school takes place in the Village Institute, providing sessional day care every weekday during term time. Being packaway means that we offer a fresh, exciting and inspiring indoor environment for our children to investigate and enjoy every single day. We are equally passionate about the outdoor environment and have fantastic facilities within the village that we use regularly. We have our own small but versatile purpose built garden that we free flow in and out of throughout the course of a morning. We have a playing field and take regular walks through the village visiting the local shop, church and school. Most exciting of all is our very own designated forest school site. We offer our children weekly forest school sessions where they can experience the magic, excitement, awe and wonderment that come from being in a natural, woodland space.

Our friendly, happy and creative environment is ideal for our mixed age group. With this mix of ages our pre-school has a family feel and our experienced staff ensure that the balance of activities and free play cater for all of our children’s differing needs and interests.

With all staff members being qualified to level 3 or above, children benefit from the wealth of knowledge, experience and skill our staff team bring to their role as your child’s key person.

Wray Pre-School is registered with Ofsted (URN EY385203), and is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance. It is a registered charity (reg. charity no. 1142503) and is run by a voluntary management committee. As a charitable, committee run pre-school we ensure that our parents are directly involved in the management of the pre-school and therefore the quality of care that every child receives. Our committee is formed with a group of trustees, including the head teacher of Wray Endowed Primary School with whom we share close links.
